Saryn is a plague caster whose 1 and 3 do the real work. Spores grow and jump. Toxic Lash pops them and rides Toxin on your weapons. Miasma is a Viral finisher on a ripe room. Molt is the heal until you sell it for a gun buff.

Status effects Saryn inflicts last longer. Spores, Lash Toxin, and whatever your gun applies all sit on the target extra time. You want statuses, not raw hit-scan only.

Spores

Infect a target with Corrosive Spores. Damage ramps the longer the colony lives. Killing the host or popping a spore (Toxic Lash does this automatically) flings the pox onto neighbors. Range is jump distance. Venom Dose turns a Spores cast into a squad Corrosive weapon buff. Recast on a dead chain, not on a living garden.

Molt

Shed a copy that draws fire. You keep moving. Regenerative Molt heals Saryn over the decoy's life — that is the cheap tank. Gun platforms often Helminth Molt for Eclipse or Roar and live on Rolling Guard instead.

Toxic Lash

While active, attacks deal extra Toxin (doubled for melee). Hitting a Spores host instantly bursts them and spreads the colony. This is the 2026 engine: Lash is how the garden moves. Duration is uptime. Contagion Cloud leaves Toxin fog on Lash kills.

Miasma

A radial Viral burst that ticks with Duration. Enemies already carrying Spores take extra. Cast it on a ripe room, not as the opener. Strength is the number, Range is the tile, Duration is extra ticks.
