Soul Siphon

Nekros restores health whenever an enemy dies near him. Despoil spends health; the passive and health orbs try to pay it back. Stand in the kill zone.

Soul Punch

A soul-blow that knocks a target into a projectile. Survivors are Marked for Harvest and become Shadows if they die while marked. Soul Survivor spends energy to revive an ally. Gloom builds replace this. Fine as a ragdoll, not a farm button.

Terrify

Nearby enemies flee and lose a Strength-scaled chunk of armor. Creeping Terrify also slows them, which is the difference between 'loot in radius' and 'they sprinted to spawn.' Recast when new heavies walk in. This is CC and strip, not a loot pulse.

Desecrate

10 per corpse · or health with Despoil

A pulse around Nekros. Each valid corpse has a chance to drop extra loot and extra health orbs. Energy-Desecrate charges per body and will starve you. Despoil pays with health instead — pair it with Equilibrium and Health Conversion. Stand on the pile. Range mods are loot mods.

Shadows Of The Dead

Summons shadow versions of what you recently killed. Kill heavies if you want heavy Shadows. Duration is army uptime. Shield of Shadows redirects a percentage of damage you take to living Shadows. Recast before they fade. AI wanders — this is a tank / occupier, not a nuke.
