Excalibur is a swordsman whose 4 is a real exalted melee. Chromatic Blade is the 2026 identity. Radial Blind is the survive button. Radial Javelin is Helminth bait. Umbra from The Sacrifice is a separate frame with Howl instead of Blind.

Swordsmanship
Excalibur deals more damage and attacks faster with swords. Skana, Pangolin, any sword stance. Exalted Blade counts. Put a sword in the melee slot even when you live in 4.
Slash Dash
25A targeted dash that slashes along the path. It inherited Exalted Blade's slash identity — status, not the old tickle. Surging Dash (augment) adds combo and extends the path. Fine as a mover. Not the nuke.

Radial Blind
50A bright flash blinds nearby enemies. They cannot shoot. Finishers open. Radiant Finish (augment) multiplies finisher damage. Duration is uptime, range is the room. Umbra replaces this with Radial Howl (also strips sentient resistance). Base Excalibur keeps the flash. Helminth offers Blind to other frames.

Radial Javelin
75A ring of javelins. Slash status. Furious Javelin (augment) adds melee damage per enemy hit. In 2026 this is the dump slot on sword configs (Roar lives here) unless you specifically want the stack. Purging Slash is a different augment for 1.

Exalted Blade
25 + drainSummon the exalted sword. It has its own mod grid — treat it like a real melee. Swings fire damaging waves. Chromatic Blade converts it to your energy color with a huge Strength-scaled status chance. Electric color plus Melee Influence is the 2026 room-clear. Do not press 4 with an empty grid.
